The Land of Wishes, Hopes & Dreams

resolutions don't work for me
perhaps it's the root: R E S O L U T E
it sounds like a chore
so, no resolutions for me... no more

in my head, in my heart
live wishes, hopes, and dreams
(not a resolution in sight)
so I'm thinking of this new year this way...

my wish:
that the universe kindly grants me more sun than rain

my hope:
that I rise to meet my challenges... gracefully

my dreams:
I'm allowing my dreams
to have a life of their own
to change day by day
to reflect my needs
and the needs of those I love

what lives in your head?
and in your heart?

...♥...

Oh...I love your viewpoint on dreams! I think we all can get stuck in what our dreams mean and then get disappointed when we don't meet them! What a great way to look at it.....let them have a life of their own!! And they may change day by day! GREAT:)
Have a wonderful and happy New Year~

Your page looks gorgeous...love teh pastels. I also appreciate your words. I'm not one for resolutions either. I do tend to love the "starting fresh" feeling of a new year. Clean out last year's paperwork, stop eating all the holiday foods, stay closer to home for a few months and spend less money...not resolutions, just things that happen naturally in January.

If anything, my wish is for everyone to slow down and really take time for friends, family and themselves.

Happy New Year!

Sue

I don't ever remember making New Year's resolutions, but dreams I have a plenty. Like yours, they do change. My life is like that, always changing or morphing into something a bit different than before. Definitely keeps me on my toes.

I do have some challenges meeting me in the near future and I look forward to see where they will take me.

I'm another one who doesn't make resolutions...but I do like the way you've chosen three words that mean something special in your life!!!

A friend mentioned that she doesn't do resolutions either just chooses a special word every year which then becomes part of her life!!!

I do like what those words represent for you...

Cheers

Interesting thoughts. I hope that this year turns out well--but more than just for me. There are too many people out there who are working hard who cannot make ends meet. If my wishes go out to anyone, it is to them.

Happy New Year, Julia!!

I think that the theme for this year for me is "surrender". And I'm glad that I've come to realize that.

Hi Julia,
I’ve been away from the internet for a while and am just now returning to my favorite blogs.
I’m hoping for new beginnings that are good beginnings – a sense of peace that being with family & friends offer – and - simple things that make me smile.
I was sad to see you’ve been away from blogging also. I hope things are going well for you and it’s good things that are taking up your time & we’ll see more of you soon! – Take care!

I gazed through your blog and I was happy to be here - having faced Cancer - I look at Life in a more peaceful way - I let things go - enjoy them more - it's something that just occurred with a GOD holding me in HIS arms through my initial fear. We all have our paths - sometimes it's a roller coaster - I'll be back to see where you are in your daily search. You have a beautiful blog....Jennifer jennsthreegraces
