Eternity

once we loved... & we couldn't stop
because the colors around our rough edges were so different, & so similar

they spoke to each other

& we became
we

after so many years of walking together
we are deeply imprinted in the sand

that's how I know

that the world may forget us

but the sea will remember
where we walked
& our love will go on
... forever

& that
makes my heart smile
a belated celebratory post of 35(+) years
of walking hand in hand; looking so forward to many more

Honey, that's a LOT of years together! I can't claim the same. I've been married three times. Please don't hold that against me! Your words are always so uniquely beautiful that I myself am at a loss for words after reading them.
