Diamonds in my mailbox

my idea of beauty

relics that speak of the deep

once inhabited by a little beings

innocent textures, soft to the touch

some, beautifully perfect !

all, perfectly beautiful !

the mail carrier had no idea she was carrying
a bag of diamonds from the sea

pink ones
brown ones
white ones
lavender ones
& one, soft yellow

Debbie of Love of the Sea sent me a bag of precious cargo from her trip to Sanibel.
Isn't it amazing, how a friend you've never met can do something so nice
& make you feel so good?

thank you for the treasures, Debbie, so very much :-)

How sweet of Debbie to send you sea diamonds, such a nice gesture. Nice to know that you have a bit of the Sanibel trip I shared with her. It is a small world after all.

You know how I love those shells that aren't what most folks consider perfect. Like us, they show the journey they've been on and now to end up with you, someone to treasure them despite their flaws — now that's perfection.

Let's see, I now need to find two pieces of a Junonia, one for me and one for you!

How very thoughtful of Debbie!

Like you, I love worn shells. I wonder where they have traveled...
what forces shaped them...Nature truly mimics life...
Happy day-

How wonderful of Debbie, they are all so beautiful!! Don't you just wonder where all these little beauties have been, what stories they could tell us? I am so glad that you treasure them so and know the beauty of all their imperfections!

Have a wonderful day!!

What beautiful shells. How sweet of Debbie to send them to you. She was also kind enough to send me some shells a few months ago. She is so sweet. Like you, I always wonder where the shells have travelled and whose home they one were. Nature is always such a beautiful miracle. Enjoy your gorgeous shells.

How wonderful, Julia! As I sit here with a fire in the woodstove and snow falling softly, it is a joy to see your beautiful sea shells - and remember warm days at the beach! :)

Enjoy your precious diamonds!
