33 little pearls:
Hi Sweetie...
Immediately the following came to mind:
Oh Daddy, can we put him back out to sea? Will he be okay? He is so beautiful, just like from the books Mommy reads to me. Sammy the Starfish. Hurry Daddy throw him back out to sea. He'll die if he stays here on shore.
Yep, a precious Daughter and her Daddy have found a beautiful little starfish on the shore. She wants to make sure he gets back into the Ocean waters. I love this photo.
Many thanks for the beautiful share. Country hugs, Sherry
Daddy says: You see how they hide in the sand? See that little hole and the bubbles there? Thats where your little friend is hiding now.
Be very careful not to disturb the beautiful creature for he is living his life just as we are ours. You can observe but but do not interrupt for the ocean will take care of him and give him what he needs.
"Looking for seashells with Daddy"
Great photo!
Watch how these little guys wiggle back down into the sand... They are called "coquinas". When the waves hit the sand, the coquinas are pulled from their hiding places. As soon as the water goes out, they wiggle back down, burying themselves. See how fast they move?
Love the photo...it reminds me of the many lessons my husband and I shared with our sons...
Hugs,
Jane
What IS sea glass, Daddy?
I love your 'Sea Inspired' blog, your photos are beautiful, as are your words.
Thank you for your comment on my blog... sigh ...you also had an Afghan Hound years ago? ... the memories of their sweet faces never leave us, those big brown eyes and the bounce in their flowing prance! We had two before these, and oh how we love them all,
and miss those which are no longer with us.
We go to the beach with them once or twice a year, and oh how they would love to be able to run free! We can't chance it though, as who knows how far they would run with so long a beach on which to be to be free.
They too, are Drawn to the Sea.
Thanks for the beauty you share here,
~ Violet
This was the first post I read this morning. I was so touched by what Sherry, Seanymph, Michelle and Jane commented that tears of joy came streaming out. I'm always so happy when I read of the respect that others have for our sea creatures. I tried to leave my comment then, but seems blogger wanted me to wait.
I'm back to say, I couldn't have said it better than they did. What blessings they and you are to our precious oceans.
Hugs
"Daddy, these new sandals are hurting my foot"
Daddy's Little Girl.
I love how the little girl is holding her hands. She has been telling her daddy about something and describing it with her hands.
Wonderful picture.!
"You'll get used to wearing thongs, they hurt a little at first but after a while your feet will adjust". xx
What you do is you admire them and then you put them back in the sea.
There's ten daddy!!! xxx Julie
Sand in the toes...sometimes you just can't get it out (nor would need too!)
It's okay honey. It's not gross - it's a sea cucumber.
He he.
Daddy's little girl... a moment of discovery.

I am that little girl ... and I am running and doing little girl yoga on a beach in NJ, while my Uncle Howie and my Daddy are walking along talking... and all of a sudden - ouch, daddy, there is something in my foot! come see! ... they carried me to the First Aid Station ...
I just discovered your lovely blog and have signed up as a follower. I've just put the finished touches on my new blog ‘Coastal Style’ It will have lots of inspiration on beach houses, resortwear, summer food, travel and anything ‘beachy’.
